We are an adoptor-friendly organization and we try to make the process as easy as possible while keeping in mind the ultimate goal: finding safe loving homes for the cats/kittens.

1. Fill out and print the application from this website.
2. Read and print out the agreement from this website.
3. Call for an appointment to see the cats/kittens which we foster in our homes in Astoria(Queens) and Chelsea(Manhattan). DO NOT COME WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. The foster homes are easily accessible by subway or by car. We will tell or e-mail you directions when you call for an appointment.
4. Bring the application and agreement with you.
5. When you adopt the cat/kitten you will receive a health record similar to the one posted on this website with dates of treatment inserted plus our recommendations for further treatment.
6. Should your cat/kitten need a multivirus booster or another dewormer soon after adoption, we will supply these free of charge if you bring the cat/kitten to us.
7. We spay and neuter if the cat/kitten is above 5 months for females or 4 months for males while in our care. Should you require low-cost spay/neuter after adoption, we recommend (1) the ASPCA van ($30) @ 212 876-7700 ext. 4303 or @ www.aspca.org; or (2) the Humane Society at 306 East 59th St/Manhattan ($38 for males/$48 for females). You must call the Humane Society repeatedly to get an appointment and you should not leave a message. 212 752 4842 or 212 752 4840 and either of these extensions: 260 or 229. Or, you can stop by personally to make an appointment. Occasionally, we can provide low-cost neuters. Call us at the appropriate time should you be interested.
8. If the cat/kitten you wish to adopt is not immediately available for adoption for health or age reasons, you will be requested to leave a partial donation and come back for the cat/kitten when it is available. Should any serious health problems be discovered during this holding period, your partial donation will be immediately refunded at your request.
9. As of the date of this posting (4/15/04), adoptors give us donations of AT LEAST $100 per cat/kitten.
10. We reserve the right to deliver the cat/kitten to your home and/or to make home visits by appointment.
11. We take back the cat/kitten at any time in the future should the circumstances of your life change. However, we do not expect you to be making a "temporary" adoption. Please think through carefully the circumstances of your future life.
